A woman who was protesting outside of a Donald Trump rally in Kansas City last week has been arrested and charged with abusing a police service animal.

The incident began when a group of protesters blocked the middle of a downtown street during a Trump rally on March 12.

Officers on foot tried to move the group out of the street and on to the sidewalk but the protesters refused to budge. Horse-mounted police officers then moved in to try and establish order.

Thats when April J. Foster, 29, allegedly began screaming at one of the police horses, named Dan, in an attempt to frighten the animal. When that didn't work she allegedly began striking the animal multiple times across the face.

Foster fled back into the crowd before officers were able to apprehend her; however, a local photographer captured her picture and it was posted on the The Kansas City Star's Website.

An anonymous tipster helped police identify and arrest Foster, who posted a $500 bond and was released from jail. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.

Wisconsin officer assaulted, confronted with chants of, "We need to start killing these officers"

A Madison (WI) police officer was assaulted when a crowd turned on him as he attempted to arrest a battery suspect.

As the officer approached a female suspect that he had witnessed punching a man in the face a large crowd turned against the officer, chanting anti-police rhetoric, including, "We need to start killing these officers."

The daughter of the woman who the officer was attempting to arrest grabbed at the officer and tried to free her mother. The officer was able to take the two women into custody even though he was under assault by the crowd.

Madison Police Captain Vic Wahl stated, "He was able to literally get assaulted in the midst of a large crowd and still take these women into custody without causing any injuries to anyone."
