The shooters involved in the murder of 14 people yesterday in San Bernardino, CA have been identified as Syed Rizwan Farooq, 28, and his wife Tashfeen Malik, 27.

Farooq and Malik opened fire on dozens of people at the Inland Regional Center, leaving 14 dead and 17 others injured, 2 critically.

They were described as wearing military-style clothing and using long guns during the carnage. Reports also suggest that at least one of them was wearing a GoPro video camera.

Law enforcement eventually located and pursued the suspects in a high speed chase. An intense shootout followed the pursuit and both suspects were killed by police.

Police subsequently located and neutralized three pipe bombs at the facility and sources described the duo’s home as being an “IED factory.”

Although officials have been reluctant to publicly announce a possible motive for the mass shooting, terrorism cannot be ruled out.

“It is a possibility, but we don't know that. It's possible it goes down that road. It's possible it does not,” said FBI Assistant Regional Director David Bowdich.

The president was similarly cautious in assigning a motive. “At this stage, we do not yet know why this terrible event occurred. We’ll get to the bottom of this and be vigilant getting the facts before we issue decisive judgments on how this occurred,” Obama said.
