DOJ to Review All Obama-Era Police Reform Agreements

United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered the Department of Justice (DOJ) to review all existing police-reform agreements between the DOJ and state or local law enforcement agencies.

The review of these pacts, referred to as consent decrees, was outlined in a two-page memo released by the DOJ on Monday. 

Justice Department officials noted, "The Attorney General and the new leadership in the Department are actively developing strategies to support the thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country that seek to prevent crime and protect the public."
