An Oregon judge is being accused of helping an illegal immigrant drunk driver escape her courtroom after learning that ICE agents were outside waiting to take him into custody.

Multnomah County Judge Monica Herranz is accused of allowing Diddier Pacheco Salazar, 22, to use her private chamber's entrance to escape the courtroom without coming into contact with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

Salazar had been in Judge Herranz's courtroom to plead guilty to a drunk driving charge.

U.S. Attorney Billy Williams of Oregon is looking into the alleged incident, which occurred in late-January just days after President Donald Trump announced his administration's intention to begin construction of a wall along the U.S. southern border.

The incident is not considered to be under criminal investigation, however.
