Attorney General Jeff Sessions warned sanctuary cities on Monday that their federal funding could be put in jeopardy should they not rethink their policies geared toward shielding illegal immigrants from immigration authorities.
Sessions offered these remarks at the White House, stating, "Such policies cannot continue. They make our nation less safe by putting dangerous criminals back on the street."
Many of the nation's largest sanctuary cities have thus far been defiant in the wake of calls for their increased cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
