An NFL player with the Chicago Bears was tasered and cited for multiple misdemeanors after allegedly spitting in the face of police officers during an altercation at an Iowa bar early Sunday.
Officers had responded to the Sharky's Funhouse bar in Waterloo just after midnight when they discovered Bears' cornerback Deiondre' Hall allegedly yelling profanities at patrons and bar staff.
When officers attempted to contact Hall, 22, he allegedly spat in the face of the officers and resisted arrest.
He had to be tasered in the leg as officers attempted to get him under control.
Hall was ultimately cited for three misdemeanors; public intoxication, interfering with "official acts," and disorderly conflict.
Green Bay Packers cornerback Makinton Dorleant was also cited in the incident, allegedly for approaching officers "in a threatening manner: while they attempted to arrest Hall.
