Four Minnesota police officers were hospitalized on Tuesday after being exposed to chemicals following a police chase.
Officers had attempted to stop a van on Tuesday morning but a chase ensued. A PIT manuever was used to disable the vehicle; however, when officers took the occupants into custody they were exposed to a chemical odor emanating from the vehicle.
The officers, from the Blaine, MN police department, were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Five others were also treated for chemical exposure.
