Columbus (OH) Narco Officer Shot While Serving Drug Warrant

A Columbus, OH narcotics enforcement officer was shot and wounded on Wednesday evening after participating in a drug raid. 

The officer, identified as 22-year veteran Patrick Shrodes, was shot in the hip after being the first officer in the residence. He returned fire, causing the suspect to drop his weapon. 

Officer Shrodes was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is said to be "in good spirits."

The suspect, identified as Shawn Toney, was taken into custody after resisting arrest. He is being held on a $2 million bond.
