Good Samaritan Shoots, Kills Suspect Attacking Indiana Conservation Officer

A Good Samaritan came to the aid of an Indiana conservation officer fighting with a suspect on Monday, shooting and killing the suspect.

The incident occurred just after noon when the officer confronted a suspicious person in the town of Rising Sun, Indiana.

Shortly thereafter, a struggle broke out between the officer and suspect.

A Good Samaritan, only identified as a female from a nearby home, observed the incident and confronted the suspect, identified as Justin Holland, 32.

At some point, the bystander fired a single shot at Holland, mortally wounding him.

The officer was said to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.
