A couple of Chicago police officers are being hailed as heroes for saving the life of a choking 9-month old child.

Officers David Watson and Paul Moreno were called to the scene after the child apparently swallowed a toy.

The officers immediately jumped into action, successfully performing the Heimlich maneuver. They even followed the child to the hospital along with the ambulance.

The child's grandmother, Christine Randall, said, "...the officers were talking to her, calling her Princess and telling her, ‘You’re going to be OK, sorry you’re going through this.’ It was so compassionate. It was hard to believe, you know? They really did save her life.”
