A lawsuit has been filed against the Washington, D.C. police force and U.S. Park Police over arrests made during Friday's inauguration.

The lawsuit centers around an incident in which police surrounded and detained many people, allegedly protesters and others not involved, following the destruction of property in downtown D.C.

Attorney Jeffrey Light said, "What they can’t do is round up everybody who was there and indiscriminately arrest everybody who happened to be on the block."
