Orlando Police officials announced that slain Orlando Lt. Debra Clayton's handcuffs were used to apprehend her suspected killer on Tuesday.
Markeith Loyd was arrested in an abandoned home after authorities tracked him down. He was allegedly in possession of body armor and handguns and resisted arrest.
After he was taken into custody Lt. Clayton's handcuffs were used to restrain him.
Loyd is suspected of shooting and killing Clayton after she attempted to take him into custody related to a previous homicide.
