NFL Star Who Joined Kaepernick in Anthem Protest Has History of Anti-Police Tweets

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane made the news recently after he joined San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in not standing for the National Anthem.

While Kaepernick's refusal to stand for the American flag stems from an apparent protest against police brutality, Lane's recent foray into the controversy does not appear to be the first time that he has expressed an anti-police attitude in public.

Several news sites reported over the weekend that Lane had tweeted out an apparent anti-police tweet in December, 2011 that depicted a police officer "emoji" with a gun "emoji" pointed at it's head.

Not sure what, if anything, the NFL will do to address this issue but we are eager to hear.
