Police in Charlotte have made an arrest in the shooting death of a protester on Wednesday evening.

Some witnesses had declared that the victim, 26-year old Justin Carr, had been shot by police; however, law enforcement officials always denied that was the case.

Authorities took Rayquan Borum, 21, into custody on Friday and have charged him in the killing of Carr.

Police said that multiple surveillance videos helped in the identification and apprehension of Borum.
