One Kentucky Fried Chicken franchisee in the Ohio tri-state area has received a tremendous response on social media after it was revealed that he was offering to feed all uniformed police officers for free at all of his restaurants.

Owner Doug Knipp, who has several KFC restaurants in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia said of the gesture toward law enforcement, "You guys are putting your life on the line for us. Any time you're on duty, it's just our way of saying thank you."

Knipp is hoping that others are inspired by what he is doing at his restaurants. "It's what's going on in our country today that we all need everybody's help and we want to step up," he said
