Vanderbilt University Football Players to Show Solidarity With Campus Police Before Team's First Practice

Prior to tonight's first preseason practice, players from Vanderbilt University's football team will show their solidarity with campus law enforcement by walking to the practice field with campus police officers.

Players and officers will walk arm-in-arm from the McGugin Center to the John Rich Practice Complex at around 7:20 p.m., with two players offering comments at the conclusion of the walk.

The players apparently initiated the gesture as a way to show their respect and solidarity with their campus police officers.
