The NYPD's Patrolman's Benevolent Association has selected Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke as it's "Person of the Year."

The move is somewhat unusual in that the PBA usually selects someone from within the NYPD or New York City.

Patrick Lynch, president of the PBA, said, "Sheriff Clarke is a passionate and vocal defender of police officers, at a time when our job is more difficult and dangerous than ever before."
