A 5-year old New Jersey boy, suffering from a difficult fight against cancer, was treated to a number of special guests recently as police officers from multiple precincts came by his house to spend time with him.

R.J. Sy, 5, who has been fighting a two-year struggle with Stage-4 Neuroblastoma, is a big fan of police. When word of that got out, dozens of local officers came by his house to show their support for him and his family.

R.J.'s family was grateful for the gesture and the moment had an impact on the officers involved as well.

“It really feels good to know you’re helping them cope with what’s going on, because they’re going through a lot," said Bergenfield Police Officer Daynel Ozorio.
