Pittsburgh: Police Arrest Armed Man Who Tried to Flush 6-Week Old Baby Down Toilet

An alleged domestic dispute between a man and a woman early Tuesday morning quickly escalated after the man pulled out a gun and attempted to flush a 6-week old baby down a toilet.

The woman and baby fled from the apartment and called police. They were subsequently taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA and prompted a police SWAT team to respond to the scene.

The suspect at first refused to exit the home; however, after speaking with police negotiators he surrendered and was taken into custody.
