A Houston police officer, investigating a car alarm, was shot at by an assailant early Tuesday morning. The officer was unharmed.

The incident occurred after the officer heard a car alarm and found four men attempting to break into the vehicle.

The four men fled on foot with the officer close behind. At some point, one of the men turned and fired four shots at the officer.

The officer was not hit by gunfire but the four suspects were able to get away.
