Greenwood Police (AR) K9 Kina, injured in a Wednesday shootout that left Sebastian County Sheriff's Deputy Bill Cooper dead and Hackett Police Chief Darrell Spells injured, has been found alive.

Kina had fled the scene after being shot by an assailant.

A massive search had been underway since the K9 went missing. On Friday morning, police confirmed that Kina had been found about two miles from the scene of the shooting.

She apparently was found to have suffered two gunshot wounds. Kina was transported to a local veterinarian for treatment.
