A rumor had circulated around the community of St. Cloud, FL that a uniformed police officer had been denied service by an employee at a local Walmart.

After much speculation, it turns out the rumors were true.

Apparently, a uniformed officer entered the Walmart on 13th street last week, collected some items, and attempted to check out. When he approached the register, the clerk allegedly pointed to her skin color and refused to help the officer.

Another employee allegedly laughed at the incident and the way the officer was being treated.

After confirming the veracity of the story, local reporters reached out to Walmart for comment.

Corporate HR responded by stating, "This is an unfortunate situation, but we cannot comment on an active HR investigation."
