Suspect Identified in Monday's Shooting of Oregon Police Sergeant

The man arrested in Monday's shooting of a Gladstone, OR police officer has been identified as 45-year old Jeffrey Giddings. 

Giddings is accused of shooting Gladstone Police Sergeant Lee Jundt after being stopped for a bicycle violation on Monday evening. 

Following the shooting, Giddings fled into a nearby Subway sandwich shop and took a woman hostage. After a standoff, SWAT officers fired upon Giddings, wounding him and taking him into custody.

Sergeant Jundt was shot in his vest and is expected to recover.
