A suspect is in custody related to Saturday's attempted shooting of an Oakland police sergeant, authorities revealed on Thursday.
The incident occurred Saturday evening after Oakland Police Sergeant Nadia Clark crashed her patrol vehicle while en route to a call.
After crashing her vehicle, someone allegedly walked up to her patrol car and opened fire.
Sgt. Clark, who was stuck in the patrol car due to an air bag deployment, was miraculously not struck by gunfire in the incident.
Police arrested a suspect in the case early Thursday morning in Stockton, CA following a standoff. A gun consistent with the one used against Sgt. Clark was recovered at the scene.
The suspect's identity has not yet been revealed.
