Man Arrested After Threatening to Kill Two Staten Island Cops

A 31-year old man is under arrest after threatening to kill two Staten Island police officers on Saturday.

The incident began when Lamont Edmondson approached the plain-clothes officers and allegedly stated, "I'm gonna kill you for what you guys did to Eric Garner." He then raised his fists and challenged the officers to fight.

Edmondson was apparently referring to the 2014 in-custody death of Eric Garner, which sparked long protests and riots in the area.

After officers took Edmondson into custody he again threatened them, stating, “It doesn’t matter, I’m still gonna kill all you guys when I get out of here. You guys better bring an army for me."

Edmondson is being charged with making terroristic threats, menacing, and harassment.
