Firefighters Raise $70,000 to Support Family of Slain KCK Officer Brad Lancaster

Local firefighters came together to help raise $70,000 over the Memorial Day weekend to support the family of fallen Kansas City, KS police officer Brad Lancaster, who was shot and killed on May 9.

The firefighters raised the money through the Boot Block Campaign, where they collected money at 17 different intersections throughout the area.

The gesture highlighted the tight bond that all public safety personnel feel toward each other, especially in difficult times.
