Pennsylvania Police Officer Critical But Stable After Friday Morning Shooting

A Pennsylvania police officer is in critical but stable condition after being shot multiple times in an incident Friday morning. 

Folcroft Police Officer Christopher Dorman, 25, was dispatched to a call of several people smoking narcotics behind an apartment complex at approximately 9:30 a.m. When he confronted the suspects he was shot multiple times. 

Officer Dorman suffered injuries to his face, torso, and lower extremities. He was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. 

Several people have been taken into custody including the shooter, authorities believe. 

Officer Dorman has been with the Folcroft Police Department for around a year.
