A couple of Oak Grove, MO police officers were given quite the surprise when they came upon a woman who had just given birth along I-70.

The officers rushed to assist the woman and immediately found that the newborn baby was not breathing. Officer William Anderson cleared the baby's airway and helped to get him to start breathing.

“I roll him over, open his mouth. He has meconium in his mouth. I sweep it out, put the towel on his chest, give him a little sternum rub, basically say a prayer and he breathes and starts crying," Officer Anderson said.

The newborn and his mom were transported to a local hospital for treatment and are said to be in good health.
