Boulder, CO Police to Issue "Tickets" for "Good Behavior" to Area Children

Police officers in Boulder, CO have initiated a new program meant to improve police-community relations by issuing "tickets" to children ages 3-18 for "good behavior."

The tickets will be given out for good behavior such as riding a bicycle with a helmet or for helping other people.

The tickets can be redeemed for use at any of the city's recreation centers, pools, or the Boulder Reservoir.

The program has been deemed the "Boulder Stars Program" and proponents hope it will both inspire positive behavior among young people in the community as well as build trust between the police and the community.
