Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Albuquerque, NM in protest of a Donald Trump rally on Tuesday evening.

Many of the protesters, some of whom were waving Mexican flags and hiding their faces, threw bottles and rocks at officers and police horses as the protests turned violent.

Some protesters also lit fires in the streets, prompting law enforcement to use smoke canisters and pepper spray to try and move protesters out of the area.

Albuquerque police stated that several officers were injured during the violence and that arrests were made; however, exact numbers weren't yet available.
