President Obama Honors 13 Officers For Valor at White House Ceremony

President Obama honored 13 police officers for valor in a ceremony in the White House East Room on Monday.

The officers, "stood up to dangerous individuals brandishing assault weapons, handguns and knives," said Obama.

Among the officers honored was Texas police officer Gregory Stevens, who shot and killed two armed Islamist terrorists as they opened fire on a group of attendees at a controversial "Draw Muhammad" event in Garland, Texas last May.
