BREAKING: Chicago Police Officer Shot, Treated for Non-Life Threatening Injuries


BREAKING NEWS: The AP is reporting that a Chicago police officer has been shot and another injured in an incident in the city's West Side.  

The officers were working on routine patrol when they engaged a suspicious individual earlier today.  

A foot pursuit ensued and at some point one officer was shot in the shoulder. A second officer suffered cuts during the incident.  

Both officers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
