A man shot and injured by the NYPD on Tuesday allegedly pulled a handgun on the officers as they were attempting to place the man's friend under arrest for an outstanding warrant.
Zaequan Footman, 23, was being held on $75,000 bail and has been charged with menacing a police officer.
The incident began after officers attempted to place Dontre Bradley, 20, into custody because of an outstanding warrant.
Footman allegedly pulled a gun on the officers prompting three officers and a sergeant to open fire.
Footman fled but was apprehended shortly thereafter. No officers were injured.
