Teen Leaves KC Cops Surprising Note

The Huffington Post reported today that police officers in Kansas City, Kansas received an unexpected but gratifying surprise late last month when an unidentified girl placed a note on the table where the officers were having dinner.

When Officer Rance Quinn turned the note over he found it to simply say, "Thanks for keeping us safe."

The girl had already left the restaurant before the officers were able to thank her and they were doubly surprised when they were informed that the girl and her family had also picked up their dinner bill.

"This young lady touched us in a way she might not have realized and before we could react to it the family walked out," said Quinn. "We sat there and talked about what a fantastic gesture."

Amid all the hostility toward law enforcement in recent years, the gesture reminded Quinn that much of the public still supports the police.
