UPDATE: VA State Trooper Clinging to Life, Battling Life-Threatening Injuries

Earlier reports that a Virginia State trooper was shot and killed in a shooting at a Richmond Greyhound station may have been incorrect.

Reports are now being circulated that the trooper is at a local hospital battling life threatening injuries.

State police spokeswoman Corrine Geller said, "A Virginia State trooper encountered a male subject just inside the entrance way of the Greyhound bus station. While he was talking to this individual, the individual pulled out a gun and shot the trooper. Two troopers standing nearby returned gunfire."

Additionally, early reports that said two troopers had been shot and injured were incorrect. According to police, two civilians (in addition to the injured trooper and suspect), were injured.

More details to come.
