An NYPD officer was knocked onto a subway track while trying to arrest four individuals suspected of failing to pay for train fare.
In a scene reminiscent of 1980's New York, four individuals can be seen on a surveillance video jumping fare and entering the subway platform without paying. NYPD Officers David Shi and Kevin Sukiel attempted to stop the four but they resisted arrest and ran away.
During the struggle, one of the suspects knocked Officer Shi onto the train tracks. Officer Sukiel stopped to help Officer Shi off of the tracks and the suspects were able to get away.
The NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspects, who remain outstanding.
