Knife-Wielding Man Attacks NYPD Cops, Calls Them "Nazis"

A pair of police officers in Harlem were attacked by a knife-wielding man who called them "Nazis" on Wednesday.

The officers, members of the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force, were at the housing complex where the suspect lived investigating a series of anti-Semitic letters that had been left throughout the building.

When the officers confronted suspect Oliver Stewart-Vukicevic, 28, he lunged at them with a knife. One of the officers was slashed in the head and the other injured his knee while trying to place Vukicevic into custody.

Vukicevic allegedly yelled, "F— you, Nazi Germans. I’m going to kill that motherf—— cop," while the officers were arresting him.

The officers were treated for their injuries and are expected to recover.

Vukicevic was taken to Bellevue for observation and is being charged with attempted murder and assault on a police officer, among many others. Officers allegedly found over 30 swastikas and hate-filled correspondence in Vukicevic's room.
