A Park County Sheriff's Deputy has been killed and two other deputies injured in a shootout with a suspect on Wednesday morning.
The incident began at around 9:30 a.m. when deputies approached the suspect in the Friendship Ranch subdivision and a shooting broke out. The deputies were reportedly there to serve an eviction notice.
The two injured officers were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Conflicting information as to the extent of their injuries has been reported.
The deceased officer was a 10-year veteran of the department; however, his name has not yet been released.
The suspect died on scene and it is not yet known if he was shot by deputies or took his own life.
