Oregon Trooper Remains Critical Following Christmas Day Shooting

An Oregon police officer remains in critical condition after being wounded in a Christmas Day shootout.

The alleged shooter was said to be an ex-police cadet involved in a domestic disturbance.

Oregon State Police Trooper Nic Cederberg, 32, was shot multiple times by suspect James Tylka, after police say Tylka murdered his girlfriend and led police in a car chase.

Trooper Cederberg was shot multiple times and underwent surgery after being transported to a local hospital. Suspect Tylka was killed in the incident.

Trooper Cederberg is a U.S. Army veteran.
