An NYPD officer on duty in Times Square helped save the life of a man who had suffered a heart attack Saturday evening.
At around 7:45 p.m., Officer Rulx Philanthrope was notified that a person was down at nearby W. 43rd Street and Broadway.
When he found the individual, a 73-year old man from Texas, he immediately began CPR.
Another officer soon arrived and provided the man with a shock from a defibrillator.
The man was transported to a local hospital and is now said to be in good spirits.
