NYPD to Deploy 5,000 Uniformed Officers Throughout City for Election Day

The NYPD announced it would deploy it's largest ever uniform presence for tomorrow's presidential election.

NYPD Chief of Department Carlos Gomez said that there would be approximately 5,000 uniformed police officers patrolling the city, in particular the 1,200 polling places throughout New York City.

Recent terror threats plus the fact that both candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, will be in the city for tomorrow night's election results, prompted the move by the NYPD.
