Two in Custody After Attempted Shooting of Texas Police Officer

Two men are in custody after an attempted vehicle stop resulted in one suspect opening fire on a Meadows Place, TX police officer.

The officer had attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle at around 1:30 am Saturday morning. When the driver refused to yield, the officer continued following the vehicle.

At some point, the driver stopped the vehicle and the passenger allegedly opened his door and opened fire on the officer.

The driver was quickly apprehended but the passenger fled on foot; however, he too was caught after a perimeter was set up by responding officers.

The officer was uninjured in the incident.
