No charges will be brought against the Charlotte, N.C. police officer involved in the September shooting death of Keith Scott.

The shooting of Keith Scott sparked days of unrest in Charlotte as disputes over whether Scott was armed and posed a deadly threat ignited riots throughout the city.

District Attorney R. Andrew Murray said that, "Officer Vinson acted lawfully when he shot Mr. Scott." He added, "All of the credible and available evidence suggests that he was armed."
