Jury Deadlocks in Murder Trial of Former University of Cincinnati Police Officer

A jury has deadlocked in the murder trial of former University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing.

Officer Tensing fatally shot Sam DuBose, 43, after a 2015 vehicle stop for a missing front plate. As DuBose allegedly attempted to flee from the car stop, Officer Tensing's attorney argued that the officer feared for his life because of his concern that he would be dragged by DuBose's car, prompting the officer to open fire.

The jury, after deliberating for 25 hours, was unable to agree on a verdict.
