Texas Police Shoot and Kill Rape Suspect in Suburban Dallas

Police in Carrollton, TX, a suburb or Dallas, shot and killed a gun-wielding rape suspect earlier today after a confrontation with the armed man.

A spokesman for the police department said that a woman had gone to a local police station on Tuesday night to report a sexual assault. After discovering that the suspect was at a local motel and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, police descended upon the motel.

After a stakeout, police eventually moved in on the suspect to make an arrest. It was then that police say the man reached for a gun in his waistband.

Officers shot the suspect once and he died as a result of his injuries. No officers were reported injured.
