Las Vegas Metro police fired upon an armed gunman on Friday night, unsettling patrons on the busy downtown strip.
The incident began when police were summoned to the front of the Bellagio resort and casino on a report of a man with a gun near the fountains.
When police arrived, the man refused to obey commands and officers fired upon the suspect.
Neither the gunman nor any of the officers were reported to have been injured but a nearby juvenile was grazed. The juvenile was taken to a local hospital for treatment and subsequently released.
The unidentified suspect was taken into custody.
