The Maryland police officer shot in the face with a shotgun late last week has been released from the hospital, although his prognosis remains uncertain.
Aberdeen police officer Jason Easton, 30, was struck by the pellets of a shotgun blast early Friday morning as he was investigating a disturbance call behind a house on Ohio Court.
Two suspects, Tyler Scott Testerman, 21, and Scott Patrick Lawrence, 26, were taken into custody later that day.
Officer Easton, a ten-year veteran of the force, is married and has young children. During the shooting, several pellets lodged in his face and one struck his left eye.
Easton will have to undergo more treatment for the eye injury.
