Two in Custody After Maryland Police Officer Shot in Face With Shotgun

Two men are in custody related to the shooting of a Maryland police officer early Friday morning. 

Officer Jason Easton, 30, was responding to a disturbance call in a wooded area of Aberdeen, MD. While searching the area, Officer Easton was shot in the face with a shotgun. 

An extensive manhunt ensued and two suspects were taken into custody later in the day.

Tyler Scott Testerman, 21, was arrested without incident by SWAT team officers about 8 hours after the shooting and Scott Patrick Lawrence, 26, was arrested later in the day.

Officer Easton was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. He is listed in fair condition and is expected to survive. 

Authorities do not yet know of a motive for the shooting.
