NYPD Officers Shot at in Brooklyn, Suspects Captured

An unmarked NYPD police vehicle was struck several times by gunfire after officers confronted three suspects involved in an altercation. None of the involved officers were injured.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night as three officers were patrolling the Fort Greene area in Brooklyn. When they spotted three subjects engaged in an altercation they turned their patrol car around to investigate.

Upon confronting the individuals, one of the suspects opened fire on the officers, striking the unmarked patrol vehicle several times. Officers returned fire, injuring one of the suspects in the leg. 

All three suspects fled on foot but two were later apprehended after SWAT teams and patrol units searched the area. The third suspect was arrested after he went to a local hospital to obtain treatment for his injury.
