Michigan Trooper Shot With Crossbow, Suspect Killed

A Michigan state trooper was shot and injured with a crossbow while serving an arrest warrant in Cato Township. The suspect, described as a 40-year old male, was shot and killed by police.

The incident occurred when the trooper, accompanied by a member of the Montcalm County Sheriff's Department and a Lakeview police officer, arrived at the man's house to serve an arrest warrant.

The suspect shot at the officers with a crossbow, striking the trooper in his side. The trooper returned fire and killed the suspect.

The trooper was airlifted to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. He was listed in stable condition.
